[Tires & Wheels] Spare wheel
#1
Evening all! New user to the forum so please be gentle! I'm after a spare steel wheel for my 2008 citroen berlingo and I'm not sure what size I need?? I've found a few 14 inch ones for sale on gumtree etc will these fit mine ok or will I need 15 or 16 inch ones can anyone tell me please? It's only for a spare so wouldn't be needed to be on the van for long, maybe just enough to get me home in case of a flat. It has citroen alloys on it at the moment and I bought it without a spare hence my need for an old steel one just in case. It is the old shape not the new one if this is helps? Please excuse me if this sounds stupid, but I'm a bit stuck here!! Thanks in advance for any suggestions, Chris.

I think they came with 14 inch wheels as standard but you say you have alloys on there now. I would get a spare the same diameter as your alloys from a breakers who has a berlingo or partner scrapper, I cant remember the offset on a berlingo others may be able to help.
Are we there yet????? Huh

Hi mate thanks very much for your reply. That's fine as long as the 14 or 15 inch wheel would fit ok just as a temporary measure to get me back home, not bothered about it staying on permanent due to it having the larger alloys on.

Just check the off set of the spare you get as to much from standard can rub on the inner arches.

You really want a spare the same size as the wheels that's on the vehicle.

Go and read the numbers on the tyres, it will be something like 185 / 65 / 15

I'd go to a scrapyard and get one off the same vehicle, last one I had when the spare wasn't present on purchase was £20 inc a never used tyre
