Multispace XTR n/s headlamp removal

Have I really got to remove the whole front end just to inspect my headlamp unit, which has mysteriously started filling up with water whenever it rains? (since I paid for that expensive engine rebuild)
Cant see any obvious damage, but its getting in somewhere.
