Oil leak
#1

Hi all, needing some advice on where this oil leak might be from.

I replaced the timing belt in Jan myself and cant remember seeing any leaks from cam/crank seals etc.
Van has had this leak for a good few years but never severe enough to drop oil levels.
Seems to be getting worse and hate oil clarted all up over the sump. Its a DW10TD 55 plate.

Rocker cover gasket was also replaced same time as belt. Have posted a few pics. Just wondering if its the gasket on the next level from top rock cover?

Are there any common areas i should be checking? Access isnt great

Its difficult to see you need to start by washing off the engine then go from there.

The earlier models had a problem with rusty sumps , despite the interior being oiled all the time pinholes appeared in the sump where muck has been sticking to it.

Next gasket down from the rocker cover is the head gasket. As rec. above, thoroughly clean the engine and then start looking.

As the Turbo is at the back of the engine I would look there first, they all tend to leak oil from the air-inlet pipework.
