What the hell is this?

iHi. I have been tinkering as you do...just playing really. I happened to take off the fuse panel under and right, to the steering wheel, and something dropped down that has me scratching my head. It's bugging me! It was a CB Ariel, with a magnetic base, and its connected to a thick black wire that runs all the way across under the dash board. I thought it could be for the radio, so to make sure, I turned on the radio and disconnected the antenna. It didn't make any difference to the radio. I cannot see where the end of the wire is connected. It's driving me nuts. Am di being tracked in some way?... lol.

Hi. Im unable to send a picture. Its one of those thin ariels 12 inches long, and screws in to a little round magnetic base, a little bigger than a 50p. My berlingo is a 2003. It has an ariel on the roof so what the hell is this thing stashed in my fuse wires.Its definitely connected to something. I just wondered if it could be a back up ariel or something.Ive tried to send a pic, but Im using my mobile,and its acting up! Wondering if it could be the previous owner, but she was just a little Chinese lady, why would she want a covertly hidden, and connected Ariel. I just can't see what its connected to.

Was she the only owner ?
Could of been a taxi in a previous life or maybe they into a ham radios.
Or other device use to attach to.
Probably end up at dead now.
