Hi,
My van would also do this, particularly when going down a steep hill, when braking the Handbrake light would come up, & I would get a single 'bleep', this was due to the brake fluid being slightly low, as for the 'STOP' light showing, maybe this is an extra warning,
being a later model than mine,

As advised check the brake fluid level.
If the level is low you need to find out why, it can be as simple as the the brake pads / brake shoes are worn down low or in the case of brake shoes (Rear Drums) it could be the self adjusters aren't working correctly.
It could also be a fluid leak from somewhere so best have a look under the car and pay attention to the wheel areas.
