I think your site is brilliant for info. I live on Portland. Dorset. I joined because I have just fixed an airbag fault and wanted to share what I found. I had a P1211 FRONT LEFT Satellite. I have spent hours trying to find out about it. I won't go into all the twists and turns but from the research I pieced together that it was the side impact sensor of my 2007 Berlingo. It was located bolted to the inside sill just in front of the front passenger seat floor fixing bolt. After taking off inside trim I removed sensor and unplugged cable. The carpet was wet here(left window open in rain). Unit looked dry. Tested across pins of sensor only when disconnected. No reading either way. >2Mohms. Right hand sensor same.Dryed up carpet, plug and socket then lightly sprayed with WD 40. Reassembled and fault cleared. Conclusion. Damp in the connections causing bad connection. Facts. Sensor will cost around £64 from dealer. ACU £350. This Berlingo model has the front impact sensor built into ACU. So research time well spent. Thanks once again to all contributors. and I heeded warnings. PB
