Painting Plastic Trim

Good Afternoon All,

I was just wondering if anyone in here has painted their plastic Bumpers, Side Trims & Wing Mirrors? I was just seeing if this is possible with long lasting effect, if anyone has some tips/photos would be great.

In addition to this, anyone in Kent who could recommend a good spray shop to get the above done would be awesome.

I painted mine matt black from silver, but I guess you are asking about painting black to car colour.

Yes it can be done but a word of caution - as Doffer says lots of blistering can be seen on crap jobs - you need to take it to a decent body shop, they have the special paint and primer to do the job correctly = ££££

After you get a few quotes you may change your opinion on the back lol

I thought that may be the issue, i dont want to go ahead and do it/have it done if the longevity isnt there, i guessed it would have to be a special paint with some kind of flex within the paint.

I like plastic black bumpers personally! Keep them as they were intended and avoid headache
