Swivel seat bases

I'm thinking of trying to install swivel seats using those universal swivel bases you can get that you drill yourself. Does anyone have any experience of them or can recommend any in particular?

There's a thread from a few years back, but no useful information.

I'm interested too - for my 2012 reg Berlingo Plus...

My Berlingo is 2004 so it will be a different pattern, but if anyone has any experience with the later model, do chime in

There won't be enough room in the floor pan for a swivel base as it has to have a clear path around it to allow movement in a Berlingo, the early Berlingo has a fixed seat base in the passenger side so no chance as the floor hugs it either side, the b9 is very similar looking at mine as I type, sorry boys

Generally swivel seats need a floor of a single plane with all the seat above them, i.e. Transit/vw transporter/fiat ducato etc

That's a shame. Looking closely at the seat base, I think you're probably right. The seat would probably foul the floorpan rises under the centre console (which wouldn't require much extra height to clear) and the side under the door (which would be more of a problem).

It may just not be possible, though I'm tempted to take the seat off and have a look at what might be done.

Just been reading a thread over on smallmotorhome.co.uk forum. Someone on there did their own swivel seat by making up some sort of adapter to raise it up so it clears the centre console and it seemed to work fine - there's a picture of a backwards-facing seat.

It's a bit light on detail though so I may have to figure it out myself.

Turn the seat and use some adaptor brackets.
Watch the cables!
