So, I was putzing about with my car again...
Just replacing a gear linkage that had rotted away in just a couple of years...
While fighting and swearing at the joint that didn't want to pop into place, I noticed something that got me a bit worried.
There's two levers on the gearbox. One on top and one on the backside.
The lever on top rotates a vertical axle clockwise and anti-clockwise.
but on my gearbox it's also possible to LIFT the lever around 0.5".
That can't be right, can it?
