Wheel Size
#1
I own a 2008 Berlingo [B9] Multispace XTR 1.6Hdi that has [I am assuming] the standard fit steel wheels that it came with from new. They are 16" wheels and the tyres are 215/55/R16

The wheels are a bit corroded [probably just surface rust] and I've lost a couple of the original wheel trims, so I was looking around to replace either the wheels or the trims.

I've noticed that Berlingo B9 vans seem to run on 15" steel wheels as standard, does the Multispace sit higher to warrant the larger wheel size?

I might end up going for a set of second hand alloys for the Multispace as decent original wheel trims to match my existing ones are stupidly priced. If I do go for a set of alloys, I'm assuming I need a different set of wheel bolts, anyone got part numbers for these?

Thanks.

I just replaced the stock 15" wheels on my van with 17" alloys, my van sits a little bit higher but it's not noticeable.
On the wheel & tyre sizes you mention the Multispace would sit approx 4mm higher than a van.

PS The steel wheels that came off my van are listed in the for sale section. :-)

As your only going from a 16" to a 15" the diameter will be about 8mm so speedo will read 30.04 when traveling at 30mph & 60.80 when traveling at 60mph, so hardly worth worrying about.

Going down from 215/55/16 to 195/65/15 will give a smaller diameter of 8mm giving a speedo error of 1.32%

Are the wheels on the VTR smaller than those on the XTR?

My info on both states that the XTR has the higher ground clearance of the two. Is this due to wheel sizes or suspension?

Just curious.
