preventitive maintenance

I'm considering next service to take out the wire gauze filter on the turbo pickup, can't take the risk that the turbo runs oil starved

So good idea or just leave it its working fine ffs


Also is there any other preventitive maintenance to consider


Mines the 1.6 hdi 07

HI, don't think that is really a good thing to do, if you change your engine oil regularly with the correct oil and filter etc, should be no problem.
now there is a problem with the HDI engine fuel filter,i think its 03 on, could be wrong, DW engines. if you take the top off and remove the filter from the bowl, have a good look you will see little brass particles in the bottom, drain bowl and clean out with airline or kitchen roll, don't use a rag, its those bits of brass that block the injectors up , this is good preventative maintenance, good luck.Confusedalut:
