lets be honest - vauxhall have never been able to make a decent car if we are fair!

I know Tree, the only one i remember to be any good was the Mk1 Cavalier and the Calton with the Perkins Diesel (apart from the fact it had NO brakes Huh

They have truly made some sh1t!
I remember my dads Mk1 "chav"alier 2000 GLS. Went like the clappers that thing but rusted just as fast!

About right Tree - rust and chocolate camshafts LOL
I always thought of the European brands as all being pretty equal, but I thought that mainstream brands like Vauxhall/Fiat couldn't be that terrible these days. I know they were all crap in the past, but I thought progress had been made. I was wrong, the thing was utter junk. It was a Fiat Croma, which is a Fiat badge and body on a Vauxhall Vectra C floorpan and mechanicals.

Actually you don't see many Vectras about these days - they must have made many thousands of them, presumably mostly scrapped by now.

I'm very happy with my Multispace. There's a lot to be said for getting a car that's based on a van - nobody could get away with selling a van that broke down all the time as the fleets would stay well away, so they've got to be reliable.
MOT on my van today 481000 nothing wrong with it. Smile Smile Smile

My 2.0 HDI 2004 has 112000 mikes on and I was beginning to get worried I might have to get rid in a couple of years. I think this post just made me decide to keep it forever...! Heart I have a full service and oil change every year without fail and my only problems are endless suspension issues from filling it with crap and the pot holes round here!
