I have a 2000 1.4 furio and need to know what oil folter i need i habe lucas brakes if that helps

The 1.4i?
Odds are it's a common 'tin can' filter, not one of those newfangled paper inserts.
It sits on the front of the engine, almost directly below the exhaust manifold, so it's pretty easy to get at and see.

its a paper insert one but cant get the metal housing off at all !

Thanks i just changed the oil as needed dooing will try filter again nin 6 weeks

Take a picture of what your trying to undo and pop it up here just to be sure it’s the oil filter (not trying to teach you to suck eggs, just being thorough), it will look black and be a 27mm socket size
I’ve had the odd one where I’ve had to put a 30” 1/2” drive ratchet on it and it’s suddenly come free... yet my normal 10” 1/2” drive ratchet wouldn’t budge en and I’ve done lots of these, even had one when the plastic 27mm hex deformed and we had to forcibly remove it and replace the cap!
