front seats
#11
In my old M59 (in the newer B9 the seats fold closed completely) I used to take the front headrest out and wind the seat all the way BACK:

Was it an easy fit? Did you  have to make any modifications or was it a simple unplug the airbags connector and unbolt the seats from the floor and replace?

Has anyone else done the same swap?

Well, there was a bit of welding involved, and the seats are actually bigger than on the mk1 van. But well worth the effort as the later seats are more comfortable. If you really want to do it I’ll take some photos and measurements to assist. The seats I’ve got have a separate subframe which won’t fit.
As for the seat belt anchors, you just need to swop drivers side for passenger side and buy some tensile Allen bolts and jobs a goodun. Let me know on here
