petrol cap

Hi,  Can anyone tell me how the petrol cap fits to the surround plastic that matches the body contour.
Mine was missing , is this perhaps a glue/mastic job as I cannot see any clips.

Hi Brickie welcome to the forum, when I picked up my van the surround was missing and the parts are available from citroen but you will have to paint the front part. The parts just clip together from memory what tends to happen is the cap gets dropped and it flies apart, what I did was put a bead of mastic around the two parts when I put it together and if its dropped it acts as a shock absorber and it all stays together. Hope that makes sense.

yes that was what I thought was my only option, on mine the two parts have no parts that clip together.
So going to do what you suggest. Thanks for your input.
