Beeping from stereo

I’ve fitted speakers in the rear doors but I had to piggyback off the fronts. I wanted to turn the rear speakers up a little louder than the fronts but only have balance in the menu. I got a stereo from a c3 5 door as it has rear speakers. When I swapped it for mine & switched it on everything works & it has balance & fade but it continually beeps. Any idea why?

The reason for the beeping is because the stereo is coded to its original car via the vin number.
If you have Lexia, you can alter the chassis number stored in the stereo & the beeping will stop.
It can also be done on my Autel diagnostic if you know how & I suspect other diagnostic tools can also complete the job.

For reference, you could’ve just ‘turned on’ the rear speakers to give the fader option in the stereo, you only need to plug the lexia in and configure it, which youve got to pay for now any way... so you effectively didn’t need to buy a new radio
