1.9d Clutch kit
#1
Hiya, I have a lightly used QH clutch kit for a 1.9D Berlingo / Partner. I had it fitted to my Berlingo DW8B for 300 miles but found it too Heavy so swapped it out for a LUK kit. Kit includes Both parts to clutch and a thrust bearing.

£30 free post to UK only not including Highlands etc...

Hiya Jamie, I took both driveshafts out, there is no need to remove the speedo drive just disconnect the cable. I leave the gearbox in the engine bay and just manoeuvre it around to get access to the clutch bolts, guide bush, thrust bearing and lever arm which all get replaced along with the clutch. Also as the driveshafts are out I would replaced the oil seals on the diff.

Thanks for the reply. It is good to know that that there is enough room. I am a not a professional mechanic but quite handy,I noticed the guide bush has a ring of silicon to seal it to the gearbox did you use any extra sealant on this part ? I would hate to find I was supposed to use some sealant and have it start leaking. thanks again Jamie.

My Gearbox is a BE4R, the guide tube has an oil seal built into it so it's easier to change the whole tube assy and they are cheap and easy to get. No lube is best, the recommendation is to lube the points of contact but just a smear of oil on the seal is as far as I go. I did grease the points of contact when I changed the clutch the last time but some grease got onto the clutch plate after a while so I had to change the clutch again which is when I bought the QH clutch but I found the QH clutch too stiff so I have swapped it out for a LUK.
Leaving the gearbox in the engine bay is tight but with a fair amount of wriggling there is room enough. An engine brace might be useful to you, I used a length of wood with a rope to hang the gearbox from but I think I prefer the gearbox on an axle stand method.. Anyway either methods work..
