Yes its a crap design the baffle is too high!

If you think you may have got air into the master cylinder you may benefit from bleeding it by cracking off the unions that connect to the master one at a time whilst the eezibleed is connected.

Air trapped in the master sometimes just won't move and no amount of bleeding at the wheels will get it out.
