Anyone any ideas what might be causing the radio to work intermittently.? Never had a issues with it until a few days ago. It powers up no issues however no sound comes from it and struggles getting a signal. Lock and leave it and it works fine, drive back from work and it has the same issues? Was thinking of upgrading it to a DAB radio soon but curious to get it sorted.

Does it play CD's ok? If so, maybe the aerial connection just inside the roof above the interior light?
Do DAB car radios work ok in the UK these days?

Just put it back together mate and made a gasket out of silicone the nut was loose but unfortunately this hasn't cured it either!!! Yes DAB works well around here in the wife's mini. There are occasional areas where no reception is gained but on the DAB front it's getting better. Looks like it's a new stereo sooner rather than later. Oh, forgot it's a tape not a CD so can't even test it that way ???

On the plus side, a DAB radio will probably need a new aerial. Must confess that I also have no tapes for along while. I had to borrow a tape to test my Volvo stereo a few years ago, once I knew it worked I bought an adaptor so that I could play my MP3 player via the tape deck.
