sensor or ECU fault??

Hello All,
I have a 2004 1.9D van with no electric windows or central locking.

It has developed a fault whereby when the engine gets warmed up there is a dashboard beep but no dash light, then it becomes a beep with engine momentarily going into limp mode at tickover, sometimes I get a engine management light with battery light but not very often. when revved the fault disappears until slowing down again. the rev counter dies too.

I took it to the garage yesterday with no lights on the dash and they could not see any fault codes on the diagnostic.

I've done a BSI reset but it doesn't cure it.

Any ideas anyone.

Check alternator for proper charging and also check your battery.
Maybe you have low voltage . That problem would not be considered
and saved as ecu "fault".

The battery is 12.65 v this morning in the freezing cold

Alternator sending a charge of 14.95v

So that looks okay to me

When the fault comes on the parking light, eml and battery light all come on .

Any more ideas?

Did you check brake level fluid?
Wild guess here, on vw cars when brake fluid is low , parking brake lamp is on.
