Clutch pedal bite point

Just a quick one..

  I have been to look at a Partner 1.9d with the auto adjusting clutch cable and the bite point on the clutch was towards the top, would this suggest the clutch needs replacing or is the bite point supposed to be high ? The mileage on the van was 77k, 2006 '56..

The auto adjusters ive come across have all been a high clutch pedal but not necessarily a high bite point. But its difficult to say for sure if the clutch is on the way out.

My last 1.9D ( van ) had a high pedal / bite point from the 70k miles I bought it at and was exactly the same high pedal at twice that mileage when sold. It was just as heavy too though lighter when re-routed.

I think it's possible to adjust the height of the pedal at least.
(An M8 bolt at one side of the assembly, nearly unreachable)
