2000 Berlingo Stalling & idle issue

Hi All

New to this forum and hoping someone can shed light as no once can so far.
Have 2000 Berlingo 1.4i manual petrol and has a really rough idle then engine cuts out
approx 30 seconds later. Sometimes also does not start then starts ok later.
Drives for a little while then dies randomly. Also "STOP" appears on dash then dies
when give it gas and revs drop really low and dies.
Battery tested and all good. Spark plugs brand new.

Is this a fuel pump or alternator problem?

If it was fuel pump you'd get issues at high revs.
Maybe the idler valve, or one of the sensors around the throttle housing?

How is the compression on the cylinders?
It's an old engine, and parts wear down...
(I had to replace two cylinder liners and grind the valves and valve seats a bit to get mine fixed up recently. Messy job... )

You need to get a diag done because your list of faults could be various things like ^^^ says idler valve or sensor/s without a diag you will just keep replacing parts until you get lucky.
