Dispatch forum..
#1
Does anyone have any information or knowledge of the Dispatch ? I have a 2007 2nd gen and the gearstick is sooo loose 1st and 2nd are difficult, it looks as if the ball joint is worn out.. Or is the gearstick supposed to be very wobbly so you can't tell what gear it's in ?

The dispatch is a big berlingo really - your problem is maybe cable related as im not sure weather the Relay is cable or linkage gear shift.

If its cable try lubricating the cables - takes ages but cheap - replace cables very expensive!

Linkage - replace all linkage you can get parts for.

We could add a subsection here if the basics of the models are similar enough...

The Relay is a totally different model with different running gear but the engines and gearboxes are very similar or identical to the Berlingo.

The electrics are Fiat (think) the body not sure it seems a mish mash of parts, im not sure what it is based on.

However the associated problems that occur with Berlingos and the Despatch will be very similar.

There are very few decent van forums out there so it would be a good idea to tag the Dispatch onto this forum.

Look the vehicle up on the Catcar info site and it will show the gear linkage so you know what you're dealing with!
