Potential buyer, advice please

Hi Everyone

so I am currently in the market for a motor that I can use as a small camper when I go away Mountain Biking, I have been to look at a 2007 Multispace 1.6 HDi 16v Forte. which seems to tick most the boxes required although I have a couple questions.

Firstly can the rear seats be completely removed? and then be re fitted if needed.

secondly while on the test drive the steering seemed odd. while turning, the steering wheel would kind of snap back in the opposite direction to the turn.... the guy told me this is the norm on them. I'm not too convinced

Cheers

The seats can be removed by unbolting them. The steering problem is likely to be the column UJ being partially siezed.Spraying with WD 40 & when free, spraying with M/cycle chain lube several times will keep it lubricated.

As Doofer. Far more space and much better versatility if you can go for the 2008+ (B9) model instead.

Rear seats each fold flat in one movement, and unclip for stowage in garage if you need all that space. Front seats also flip flat in one movement. Fast and simple. The B9 is like the Tardis!

For camper ideas, see my current thread with photos on building a B9 based camper for either one or two people.

Go for 2008 on model if you can. All models of B9 have lift out rear seats whether the 3 separate or 2+1. Try to find car with service history of oil changes ar every 12k miles.

I agree, the oil change is very important!
