Any one in North Wales?
#1
Any one in North Wales, nr Bangor, I keep seeing more Mk 3`s around here and loads of Mk 2`s so just curious.
With the VW Camper t4 forum we used to arrange meets and drives out to local cafe, we could have a chat and discuss vans.
Let me know if your about, even visiting N.Wales. I also have a caravan within my grounds which I used to rent out cheap to other forum members. Again let me know if of any interest to anyone. I know it may take years but be good to see this forum grow.

Hello Pete,
We're about 100 miles away from you, in sunny Stoke on Trent but usually make the annual pilgrimage to Anglesey around about mid September.

Yes, will do. Normally have a run to Bangor if only to do a major shop at Tesco's.

and,

wait for it.......

Last time we went.......

Didn't we have a lovely day, the day we went to Bangor.

Trouble is that now most of the shops I used to have an interest in have closed or moved on. Used to be a good fishing tackle shop Bangor Angling Supplies (BASS) now a restraunt I believe, at least Cob Records is still there and Dickies chandlery and boatyard.

Cob records . yes, Dickies no....and the basr--d Peter Dickie, sold his place and nearly 100 houses going to be built there. Plus he did the dirty on his employees. [long story, but tyypcal money minded buiseness man]. Seems odd not seeing all the boats there now.
If you are in Bangor to see / visit us you look back to mountains and were half way up the first one you can see. I take it your a fishing man then?

Another place gone then, I believe Dickies has or rather was there dating back to the second world war? Like you say, it will seem strange not seeing the boats there.
I do go fishing but not as much as I used to do because of ill health.
When we do go on holiday I take fishing tackle, photographic gear, amateur radio stuff, (used to take kayaking stuff as well but packed that in, another story), plus all my other clobber, the wife, our niece and all their stuff, oh and two medium sized dogs and I tow a 13 foot caravan.
Used to do all of that with a Pugeot 306 Hatchback 1.9 non-turbo. plenty of room on top!!!!!!.

After several years of deliberation we decided that perhaps the 306 was a tad too small and so we bought the Berlingo in October last year.
Still waiting to try it with the 'van on its back, the weather needs to be a bit warmer first...
