[Filters & Oil] Oddball new Fram Filter

Just bought a Fram filter for my 2011 Tepee Outdoor. I notice it has now extra 'fins' on the body ( see https://www.amazon.co.uk/Genuine-Fram-En...elId=33871)

I assume to make the usually fiddly installation simpler. However the box flaps show some totally weird illustrations showing that in some models(?) some of the plastic is removed. I am no wiser. Has anyone fitted a Fram CH9657CECO lately?

Yes, I know it's a Tepee and not a Berlingo but it is almost certainly the same filter as engine. The useless Peugeot forum I first posted this topic on seems to have few replies over YEARS! so here I am back on the friendly site! The oil change can wait till warmer weather!

Yes it to make the fitting of the filler idiot proof if you like, not all aftermarket filters are like it but Fram seem to be.

All the Purflux ones we fit now have these fins, it's for the Euro 5 engines, not sure what the mods are for, as you say maybe to prevent incorrect fittment.
Euro 6 engines don't have this & they will not fit, Euro 6 are the same as the old style filter visibly, but have a green round 'O' ring, much better than the square section seal
