Maybe a fuse, or a wiring short in your mirror? I'd start with the mirror and make the wiring safe to start with, then move from there. Which mirror is it, passenger side should have the motor I think, does it have heated mirrors? What engine do you have?

If they look green and corroded the water has probably been getting into the BSI for a while. The usual route is down the loom from the scuttle as it fills with water if the drains get blocked not allowing the water to run out from the bottom of the wing. If you look in the scuttle area its probably full of dirt and leaves. There are threads on here about it and some have taken the bsi apart and managed to clean it up.
Are we there yet????? Huh
Ex 1.6hdi van now 3 seater 1.4 multispace

As you've got the mirror isolated & checked the fuses sounds like checking the BSI next as suggested above would be a good idea. If you are getting a click from the BSI & window mechanism, I'd think it was something to do with a bad connection somewhere preventing current flow. There are also some threads about bad earths, mainly for the horn but I do seem to remember something about the instrument lights.

Looking on Sedre, the diagrams for the windows & instrument panel show earthing points in the footwell / side panel in front of the door. It's not 100% clear which side of the car they're on as 1 diagram has a LHD car, the other has a RHD car, but my guess is they are in front of the driver's door, bottom hinge or thereabouts.

I've attached a couple of diagrams from Sedre for the indicators & the windows. On the right side of the indicators diagram the instrument panel is shown as '0004'. If your indicators are working but not showing in the instrument panel, I'd take a look at the wiring from the BSI to the instrument panel & through to the earth.
Looking at the very bottom of the indicator diagram document, diagram B, I noticed that the instrument panel appears to be earthed via 'MC42' somewhere near to the cigarette lighter.
Does the Hazard light switch work?
Have you tried the infamous 'BSI Reset'?

I also connected a diagnostic tool to the OBD socket and got error code U0028 communication error bus A if this helps narrow down the issue.
