I have looked around this and other forums and see some people are having this issue but there are no follow posts with answers.
2016 Berlingo Enterprise with touch screen and CarPlay was working fine until around 6 months ago. Then the handset became intermittent and stopped connecting at all.
I put it down to the USB lead and did not bother until the last few weeks but I now need to use the system again and it is impossible to use.
Having tried 3 different leads including a brand new genuine Apple lead and 3 different iPhones I can confidently say this is either the touch screen/stereo unit is screwed or there is a software/firmware compatibility issue between them all.
Other forums suggest that this has been happening across a number of different manufacturers cars since the iOS 10 update (we are now on iOS 11) and so this points towards software incompatibility but I am surprised there are not more post about it?
Can anyone advise if there is a solution or confirm they too are having the same issue?
As a side note, I also seem to have a random temperature gauge on the touch screen display which sometimes works but most of the time reports anywhere from -30 degrees C to +40 degrees C. I am sure this is unrelated but I'll put it out there here and in a new thread too. Sure, I should just sent it in to the garage but none of this is not worth the messing around for just the temperature display and it can wait until a service is due.
