Hi does anyone know if it’s possible to program the body control to ignore the locks opened by the key? So my van will only open all doors via remote?
Thanks

Almost 100% sure that can't be done.
You could strip the door panels off & remove the rods to the locks.

There is that but if my remote fails, I’m buggered. I think I’ll try cutting some wires to the door motor that controls the locking
Thanks for the reply

What exactly are you trying to achieve ? Cutting wires is not a good approach unless you know exactly what you are doing.

I want it so if someone unlocks the drivers door by removing the lock and opening with a screwdriver, the rear doors don’t open.
I’m auto electrician, been coding BMWs for years thought maybe able to do similar programming without cutting etc

In a word no and cutting wires to motors will not work as you have to have them working otherwise locks will bounce, why not just disconnect the rear doors motor and put it on a electric window switch inside the cab so you can only open the rear doors via the switch and not the remote or lock, that’s the obvious solution or fit a slam lock to the rear door

If a tea leaf has time and opportunity to prise out the drivers door lock and then force the door with a screwdriver, surely he could just jemmy the rear doors instead, if that was his target?
A second security lock on the rear doors, as Doofer, makes sense to me.

I see what you mean about the bouncing locks, as if the doors open when you try and lock? Have you already tried what I’m going to attempt?
It’s only the unlock I really need to do.
I wonder though if dioding them somehow may fool them into thinking it’s closed?
faffing with a switch in the cab isn’t really the way I want to go, I need to get in and out with the remote.
I have put the armour plates on now but I still wonder if the lock could be picked, unlocking the back doors and all my equipment being robbed!
The way I see it, if they can pick a Ford or a Bmw lock there’s got to be some scumbags out there that can open these in a few seconds.
When I’ve got a few minutes spare I’m going to find the unlock wires to the body control, chop them and see what happens. Cheers for the input
