I have acquired a 62 mpv 1.6 E-HDi XTR
Can anyone tell me if the electrically folding wing mirrors are standard.
The handbook suggests they are. The description for opening and closing them with the mirror adjustment switch is unclear and I am unsure whether the switch is not working or whether they are in fact an optional feature.

I don't think every XTR has auto-folding mirrors.
Mine is an early B9 XTR, and although the mirror adjustment switch has the movement needed for the mirrors to autofold, they do not (ie. ignition on, mirror switch in central position, push switch downwards).
Does yours have heated mirrors? They work when you turn on the heated rear screen.

The switch that selects which mirror you can adjust pulls towards you to fold them in, usually has a little white arrow on it. Tend to be quite rare I think .

Thanks. Yes the mirrors are heated and work in conjunction with heated rear screen.

I think from memory, left-adjust is 10 o'clock, right-adjust is 2 o'clock, fold in is 6 o'clock. I used it just the other week when a truck was squeezing past.
Mine also folds them when I lock it and unfolds when I unlock. This is an option somewhere in the dashboard options list. Nope mine not equipped with folding mirrors. Would have been so much easier if the handbook had indicated they were optional and more clear about the switch operation.
Thanks for clearing that up

Mine's a 2014 Multispace, pre-facelift without a touchscreen. Let us know what yours is, if the same I'll note down the route to the option in the menus. I find it hard to believe that they'd ration a feature that costs £0.00 to implement - the motors are already there, and the thing knows whether it's locked or not, so you'd hope they wouldn't be so mean about it. Thanks Doofer mine hasn't touchscreen either mate.
