hi,
A word of warning to all , the onborad mpg indicator is NOT accurate it is meant as a guide only and is frequently out by at least 10-15%. If you dont believe me fill up zero you trip gauge then when you fill up again note how many miles you done compared to how much fuel you put in at fill up and do the math , its allways out by a long way.
however my best run (by the mpg gauge) was from work to home 32.5 miles at 74mpg on the motorway for 15 miles the rest aA road and stop start city traffic, i have proof if nobody believes me. My best combined run over a full tank is 57 mpg ( on the gauge ) bearing in mind that our van is a delivery van and that was stop start round town and some motorway driving. Its not hard to achieve very good mpg from these vans if you drive them steady. 680 miles on a full tank stop start delivery van.
Have fun all
