Camper Awning Poles - Outdoor Revolution Movelite S
#1
Good morning everyone, hope you are staying safe and warm in this cold weather.

I have recently purchased a second hand Outdoor Revolution Movelite S Camper Awning but at present I don't have the fibreglass poles. The seller couldn't locate them but I bought the Awning anyway ;o)

I know there are companies who make tent and awning frames but their prices are ridiculous. I'm going to buy pole kit to make my own frame.

So my question to you fantastic people.... Does anyone own the same awning? Do you know the length and width of the poles? How many poles are required for each length?

The awning is 240 x 240cm and I have attached as much information I have on the product.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards

Jon

Hi Gravity.

Thanks for your reply. I got in touch with the manufacturers Customer Services and they responded with the attached.

Hopefully someone on the forum has the same or similar awning.

Regards

Jon

What nonsense and unhelpfulness from a manufacturer!

I've seen telescopic poles on Ebay, useful when you're erecting an awning on uneven ground. Possibly these might help you? Can you estimate the approx length from their brochure/illustrations? I have a Reimo rear awning for my B9 and the two poles are about 1.9 metres long.

Hi Jon - Robens do a couple of Tarp Poles, see either Tent Accessories on the Robens site, or the Taunton Leisure site. The Tarp Clip pole extends to 210cm, the Telescopic Tarp pole extends to 230cm. I've got 2 Tarp Clip poles for a tarp that I fit to my roof bars, either over the rear door, or over the side door. Easy peasy and they telescope down too, so less to lose! The tarp is a cream coloured "garden shelter" which I picked up from Aldi or Lidl last summer, and my telescopic tarp poles simply replace the steel poles they provided...

I have a Movelite XL, yours’ big brother, it has two fibreglass poles which are about 8m long each, they clip onto the fabric with sort of half moon grips about 12mm wide. You can buy lengths of pre threaded fibreglass poles off ebay, for about a tenner each.

Hi everyone.

Just a quick update. A kind gentleman has put together a bespoke frame from poles he had from previous tents/awnings.

Can't wait for the better weather to try it out properly.

Regards

Jon
