which brand of coolant pump

Hiya...

  I am going to change the cam belt kit on my latest Berlingo BW8B 1.9D.. It has 60K on the ODO and the chap I bought it from says the cam belt has been done, I looked back through the service history and he's correct, it was done 5k miles ago but just the belt !! Why not the tensioner / roller / water pump too ?? Baffles me why these aren't done at the same time especially as I have checked the belt and it looks very worn not to mention the water pump has clearly been leaking for ages judging by the state of the condition of the bolts etc..

 Any how, I have a genuine belt kit, Gates belt + SKF tensioner + SKF guide pulley so I want a water pump.. I am baffled by how many 'brands' there are of water pump... from £19 to £70.. Jeez, which one ??? I have seen the Gates pump is a 'made in PRC' effort so I'm not going there, but which one ??  I don't want to do the job twice or three times like I did before ( on my blue 1.9D van )..

 Who is the manufacturer of the genuine pump ?

 Any advice would be helpful, thanks..

Lighty is your man he may know the make of the genuine pump - he will only use a genuine water pump now after other makes leaked.

I use " Gates " and I usually get a pump as a part of a full belt kit.
