Wipers, Indicators and Blower not working
#1
Hi All,

Had this issue come to light after cold spell on my X reg Berlingo multispace, anyone had this issue before??

Also i've had a "stop" light flashing with dash lights on when key is out of ignition and doors are locked, this had been draining the battery over night!

I think its all due to water ingress somewhere?

Got an auto electrician looking at it this week, just wondered if anyone has had similar and if its a potential scrapper

thanks in advance

Hi and welcome,

Water could have got into the BSI - under dash drivers side. You can try drying it out, but worst case scenario is new BSI £££££.

But i doubt its that bad in this weather there are lots of vehicles out there with electrical issues. You could just disconnect the battery overnight until the weather gets better, do a search for BSI reset this may work?

I have a problem like yours but when I turn my indicator on my main lights come on and my indicator turns off until I touch the stork then the lights go out, but I haven't a clue what to do.

Squad you should start a new tread with your problem however, on this occasion i know the likely answer to your problem. Its almost definitely the comms unit (the indicator and lighting stalk unit at the back of the steering wheel.

Something like this:
