Hi
After the lastest deep freeze my screen wash pump is not working. No noics of the pump going round.
I am trying to check if the fuse has blown.
The handbook says F3 10A but the diagram bears no resemblance to actual under bonnet box layout and is virtually unreadable anyway!! Nor does the underside of the flimsy fuse box lid have a diagram
Phone our local citreon dealer who was unable to help ! Just brilliant Citreon!!!
So if anyone has a diagram that matches the photo could you please let me know before I have to pull out every 10A fuse in the box.
OR
If anyone has had same problem and can identitfy the fuse location.
My book states the same as your's, which is no real help. Haynes of course!
It will be a 10amp fuse though, so that narrows the search.
A couple of other things might also account for no screen washers. Firstly, is the reservoir full? In the past I have had a washer pump pack up in freezing conditions due to water in the pump expanding when it froze and wrecking the pump. All the water in the reservoir leaked out - hence my question. If you use screenwash mixed with your water, it usually contains a measure of antifreeze which would rule out the above. If the pump has split (very unlikely but possible) it would not necessarily blow a fuse.
Every now and then it's not a bad idea to pull and reinsert every fuse (apart from the big 50 and 80 amp fuses) as they tend to oxidise and go high resistance over time.
Hi. Same problem - have just replaced the fuse. It is the 10 amp fuse next to the small electrical connector in the bottom left hand corner of the photo. Numbered No3 in my handbook and very feintly marked in the fusebox. Pump now working again.

Yup 10A fuse was the problem. Exact location on attached image.
Have to keep one in the car next time there is prolonged cold period.
Thanks guys for advice .
Will give the fuse box a gentle clean out. Insufficient protection from the cover which also seems to have been a problem for some with water ingress.
