Hello
I accidentally drove off with my drivers side sliding door open only a few yards but when i stopped it slammed shut. It now won't open - may have come off the runners or broken something.
I think I need to take the door off to see. Can anyone tell me how to remove the drivers side sliding door. Car is Berlingo Forte 2005.
Thanking you in advance
Richard

More likely to be the linkage inside the door. Take the inside trim off and look if any of the rods have disengaged. Also have you tried the inside handle to see if that still engages ? Is it out of alignment to make you think it has come off the runners ?
So where does this bit go then ?

One thing you could try before removing the plastic door card:
Sit on the backseat, put your foot on the trailing edge of the sliding door (opp side to the handle), and give it a very firm push - almost a kick - as you try the door release handle.
When I got my M59 Multispace a few weeks back, that's what I had to do to release a sticking door. Once released, I removed the door card and adjusted the mechanism to get it to work more easily (slight bending of the release rods). I also greased all the sliding parts.
