Hi Am I glad you all are here, we all make mistakes, hear,s mine lost my car key and have not got a spare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!or I should say key dropped on floor only to be picked up 100ft from my home by a young man
I think 99% as no one else would keep it. Any way my question is what's the best and cheapest way of getting a new key please???, and yes after this |I will get a spare key.
It does not help I live in Norfolk near Norwich.
Regards
Andy

Edit Reason: typo correction
)
Key blades are very easy to get made just about anywhere, as long as you have access to the original. Typically, a digital photo of the original blade is sufficient for online suppliers to cut you a new one. If you go to a local keysmith or motor factor they can cut a new one using the existing blade as a template. If you don't have the original key I suspect you will need to go to a Citroën dealer to get one cut.
However, the really expensive bit is the transponder in the key fob. If you don't have the transponder, and it is needed for starting the car, getting it replaced might cost a few hundred quid. Here is my wee transponder story:

Easiest way is to call an auto locksmith, there will be loads in your area, just google them .
Will likely cost @£150 for two keys .
He will be at your car for a few mins & will do you a spare at the same time.
Just ring a couple & get a few quotes.
