Howdy all,
I'm a newbie in two ways...
1) I'm a newbie to Denmark... I moved here from South Africa ten months ago, and
2) I'm a newbie to Citroen cars. I bought a 2005 Citroen Berlingo about 9 months ago
I really like the Berlingo. It's a 2.0 diesel, gives great fuel consumption, it's ideal for my family, and it dives very well. I've become quite attached to the car.
Back in South Africa I was a Land Rover addict, but here in Denmark Land Rovers are fairly rare... besides, as a new immigrant I don't have much disposable cash so I have to be quite frugal in terms of my choice of car. I used to do all my own car maintenance, and I have brought most of my tools and equipment with me.
I've been very fortunate that I have bought a house here with a massive 300m2 garage that used to be a car workshop back in the late 1980's. There's even an inspection pit and a 2-pillar car lift, so it's perfect for me to continue doing my home mechanics.
The Berlingo has been running very well up to now (I did loose a gearbox linkage a few months ago, but that was repaired in 20 minutes) but it needs some work now, so I will be posting questions on the forums pretty soon. I'm looking forward to learning about this ubiquitous, yet quaint little car.
Regards,
Marc
