Independent door locking

Hi All,


I recently purchased my Belingo Multispace second hand to give more space for my dogs. I've now fitted a dog cage in the back and its great, but I do lots of events around the country and I like to leave my boot open for extra shade (tinted windows).

Problem I am having is I cannot lock any of the doors whilst my boot is open whether with the fob or by manual with the key. I've had other vehicles where I can lock closed doors independently of open doors. My cage is full height but I can't leave valuables in my car if I cannot lock it.

Anybody got a work around for this?

Look for the switch or whatever tells the car/van the door is open and do something to that so it thinks the door is closed ?

or on my van i can do this and it just unlocks the side door and the back doors

Lock the car/van as normal then unlock the tailgate with the button on the key . This should leave the car/van front doors locked .Then open the tailgate as normal .

Here is what I do with mine, I bought a vent lock off eBay. You can also use it for the top glass, Hi Viz vest is so vans don't hit my open tailgate.
