Hi, new member and possible future Berlingo-buyer here.
I am looking into buying a mk3 Berlingo Multispace and am curious to know if there is any common failures or problems to these. I am looking on one car from 2010, so it is rather new, but still good to know what could show up. I understand that the rear tyres are getting worn out fast on these cars and that this is common? Also, the heater on these cars, is that any good? I live in Norway and it can be a bit chilly around here in the winter...

Hello Kaiat, I've got a 2010 Multispace with 8800km on the clock. 1.6HDi 109ps. So far no problems at all. Haven't noticed abnormal tire wear as yet, but I have low mileage. Averaging 5.8km/100km so far - 99% city and country lanes. Regarding the heater it is just fine for this area of Switzerland but you do get some serious cold in Norway. I'm also a member on berlingo.org, a German language Berlingo website. There are quite a few posts on there by people who have installed additional heaters, if you happen to speak German as well.

just take a test drive over rough ground and see if front offside suspension rattles / makes clonking noises.

As said above, engines on the whole are excellent, but the word knocking comes to mind in regards to the front end.
