How often do you change your Oil
#1
I'm driving a 2011 B9, 93000 miles on the clock

For me its every 6000 miles or 10000 Km, possibly i'm overdoing it ?

Sounds reasonable.
Hope you change your oil filter at the same time.

Oil is cheaper than engines so I always change oil well below the recommended intervals.
Are we there yet????? Huh

For me it's every year, Mann filter and Citroen approved oil regardless of mileage, most years I'm probably well under 6000 miles as it's my wife's runaround.

Service interval on mine is 16k - thats when the oil gets changed, near enough every 6 months anyway.

The van will have 80k on it come its first MOT so i will chop it in then so long as I like the new Bingo in the flesh

A by pass oil filter is the way to go if you want the best protection for your engine.

As a secondary filter yes certainly ( my land rover engine ONLY has a bypass filter  Sad )

I do my oil and filter twice a year, before the harshness of winter and then before the harshness of the summer sun.

From 6000K up to 16000K, quite a bit of variation there.

Also, different specifications of oil will make a considerable difference. I suspect with my van being the last generation and extended service intervals - it’s oil is full synthetic low ash. I know it’s not cheap per litre!
