Driver's door open sensor switch

Hi all ,
My berlingo has doors that auto lock when I move off, my problem is 50 % of the time when I open the driver's door the other doors do not unlock as they should, if any other door is opened from the inside all the others unlock.
My guess is the driver's door open sensor switch isn't working all the time.
Can anyone offer any advice on if I'm on the right track , and how to tackle a repair at the moment I can't even find the location of the switch as I was expecting to find it in the door Piller.

Any advice would be most welcome.

I think in the newer models the switch is built into the door lock.

You can check the wires from the door to the pillar in case they are broken
