Hi all,
I have 2 Led marker lights that I want to add to my A-bar at front of van.
I wondering is it ok just to tap into a parking light feed to power these without causing any issues?
I'm presuming the current draw on these is minimal but said I'd ask for some of your expert opinions before I did it.
Thanks
Tom

I would have thought it would be fine.
I guess you will know already but worth mentioning, LED's are polarity dependant, Neg to Neg, Pos to Pos, if you get them round the wrong way the LED won't light up.

Cheers jj9
they are coloured for me and all :-)
I suppose I was just worried that the ecu would detect something like them and maybe go funny on me..
I'll chance it anyway . Thanks for replying.

Hey Doofer,
I checked the current draw on the lights before I wired them up and only 16mA draw on each of them so I just tapped into the parking light live and job done.
Thanks for all the input.

Thanks , I'll give those ones a shot.
The normal bulbs look a bit off in comparison to the led/s alright..

I paid £15 for a set of side lights from Halfrauds because of the cheap ones going year on year.
Guess what? Failed after 1 year or about 25k miles. Thankfully they have a five year warranty so I took them back and they replaced them no quibble. I'll do the same thing next time they fail and get my monies worth
