End of the road for cedric!

I have had cedric 14 years from new but his mot is due in two weeks and just from the few bits that I know need doing, I have decided to cut my losses and trade him in. 

Mechanically he'll run and run  He's on 150k and runs on lpg but over the last two years the rest of him is ageing. Suspension bits have gone, struts and ball joints and the exhaust is now shot. 

He's done me proud and I will be sad next week when I say goodbye and pick up an insignia as his replacement. I bought him when we first got kids. Big boot for the buggy and sliding doors were perfect. Since then he's been my fishing companion, fantastic for camping and great for the tip runs. 

It will bring a tear to my eye to move on. The kids want me to keep him as a piece of art for the driveway!! 

I probably have a few bits of spares to move on. Some spare steel wheels etc.

But that's me done.

This has been a great forum. It's been a great help and I have tried to help others when I have been able to.

I know a vehicle is only a machine but we do become attached to them don't we, it will be sad to see a car you have had for so long go.
