Dw8 fuel pump seal help

Hey up guys have any of you done a dw8 fuel pump rebuild using new seals after some advice thanks the nut circled is leaking diesel when pressing the primer I've taken it out and the o ring feels very stiff and it flat on the outer and inner edge is this just a normal o ring or special shaped one any help would be great thanks

You will need a fuel resistant O ring, you will probably find one on ebay if you know the size.

If you're not sure how to measure it just Google measuring an O ring.

I had the same problem on my C15 with a Lucas pump.I got the ring from a Lucas agent.

I also have a fuel leak from the throttle spindle on the top of the pump.

Is there a simple fix ?

It only seems to leak at idle.

Just had mine fixed by Bennetts Workshop in St Albans, about £200 for new throttle spindle etc.

Not an uncommon problem apparently.

The Lucas fuel pumps are repairable (ie spares available), the Bosch type are not !
