Suspension advice needed
#1
My 2007 16v has done 105k and has developed a couple of issues, possibly related:

The first is vibration through the steering wheel at high speed. This comes in around 70 usually but occasionally doesn't. I also find rear can 'wander' a bit, especially when windy/passing HGVs at motorway speed.

Second the rear suspension roll stiffness is very soft. The ride stiffness (up/down over bumps) seems fine, comparible to my old car.

The rear wheels don't have a gansta lean so I don't think the rear axle is shot... Any thoughts?

I had a same problem, vibration through steering wheel. Mine was suspension strut and ball joints on both side. Changed them and problem disappeared.

Thanks I'll take a look. Was the vibration speed dependant? Annoyingly (in a way) it's just sailed through the MOT. Not that the MOT is the most reliable guage of car health...
