rear anti roll bar (torsion bar)

trying to find out what the correct lenght and thickness should be for my 03 multispace
its snapped and one end and need to get another ordered...think its going to have to come from abroad as there seems to be a lack of them in uk 

would be very greatful if someone knows the size of it

Here's the Catcar info for my 2.0 HDi, you should be able to navigate back to different engines if needed. It shows length & diameter for bars.

ta...looking at that picture that have labled stuff wrong the roll bar is number two it clamps across both rear swing arms

5170 is a number i have come across im my search but could never find size... mind is a 2.0 hdi too

i have found one in germany thats listed as 1190mm/22mm but states it fits mine
the listing on the link states 1193/21mm

i will message them...im sure i got my torsion bars from them last year...never got the roll bar

Hi, I have the exact same issue, the long bar is snapped.
Mine is an 04 2.0 hdi berlingo desire.

If somone can please advise that would be great.

Your best option is to get an exchange axle from IM axles as replacing the torsion bars is an absolute pig and more than likely all seized up.

Hey gazmann and berlinwontgo can you tell me if those tubes are solid or hollow now that they have snapped?

If this helps here are some pics of the stabilizer bar (front) and x2 torsion bars (rear). The anti roll bar is not hard to remove.

Just got to the magic 200K miles & loud rattle of doom from the back end at 200,037 miles.
Yup, snapped the rear anti roll bar.
The rattle is easy to sort out with the Lidl battery angle grinder.
(Sorry neighbours!) 
But now you have lurchy ride and understeer.
I'm assuming that the remaining "spring" torsion bars will stop the trailing arms from falling off the beam pins!
And as the previous poster from many years ago stated, nobody in the UK seems to do them.

Lithuania to the rescue so it seems.

Reading the factory service manual,
"car" which I assume is the Multispace type, spring bars 19.6mm x 1028mm, sway bar 21mm x 1193mm
van, 600kg & electric, .................................spring bars 20.5mm x 1028mm, sway bar 19mm x 1193mm.
van, 800kg, ................................................spring bars 21.3mm x 1028mm, sway bar 21mm x 1193mm.
van, 1000kg,............................................... Ford Capri farm cart leaf springs.

part number is given as 5170A1 for the 21mm X 1193mm bar.

can't find the number for the 19mm X 1193mm bar.

Looks like a previous owner has swapped the rear suspension of my multispace  to the 600kg van one.

Might be why it looks like it's munching a rug.

Possibly the Peugeot Partner Escapade used the 600KG van beam as standard.
