I have a vibration type noise which I think may emanate from the offside driveshaft bearing (the one held in by a couple of long bolts with strange heads and 11mm nuts) on my 2005 2.0Hdi Multispace. Does anyone know if this can or should be lubricated, and if so, how to lubricate it and what with - grease, oil etc.

It is a sealed for life bearing so no human intervention required. .....
However if it is a 2RS type ( plastic seals ) you can prise then out carefully and put more grease in - not worth the effort despite being possible in case you are tempted in my opinion.
If a ZZ type ( metal seals ) then don't even try to remove them they won't go back in.
edit : lube with HMP bearing grease and pack no more than 30% of available space or the bearing will overheat and fail.
