Brake shoe adjusters sided?

Might sound like a silly question but does the adjuster stamped L go on the Nearside and the adjuster stamped R on the Offside? When taking the old shoes off I realised the one stamped R was on the Nearside and vice versa. Confused to wether wety were on wrong and if I should swap them over

Does it not mean the threaded inside if left or right handed ?

don't swap over !
