Hi if you are having scrubbed front tryes that even tracking won't solve and all else is good then read on ...
The solution :
Check the wishbone front bush bolt as it may not be tight enough and allowing excess body roll even on gentle turnings such that the car is trying to ride on a part of the sidewall rather than fully on the tread.
The scenario :
My cousin bought an M59 after driving mine and started complaining of scrubbed tyres - with a fresh MOT to say all suspension and steering components were good and even with the tracking checked as perfect.
I drove the car and found it was jiggling sideto side a little too easily much in the way you'd have the boing de boing of worn dampers and the front corners of the car seemed to be tucking in heavily when turning into a junction or roundabout.
Having read the service history I noted the wishbones hadn't long been replaced so jacked up to check and sure enough the front bush bolts were slack, tight enough to look good on the mot but slack enough for the matalastic bush to not be clamped tightly enough to resist rotation, tightened up and all became good.
Anyway hope this helps someone .....
Three months have gone by since tightening the bolts, her car continues to ride correctly and the tyre wear is back to normal
